I had just been converted to the Dead by a few hundred listens to Boston Garden, May 7, 1977. I was psyched beyond measure to go to the coliseum and see
...
them play. I think I was 17. I love the Dead. I listen to them continually...each year, era, wave. I love them. This show is, of course, not the best, but to me, it remains forever captured and locked inside my foolish heart....
I remember our cries, our wails and screams, the pounding resounding echoes from the drums...I remember his white hair and Bobby's standing beside him through the entire show...I remember us standing on the moon beside them through the entire show, standing beside them now, wondering if I'll ever hear my Foolish Heart tell me how much I am loved--how much we are loved--as it did that night in Charlotte, all those years and memories ago....

Yeah... the recording is no Healy matrix... but who cares? Sometimes it's nice to approximate what it would sound like from the concourse standing in
...
line for a beer and some broccoli and cheese... oh, wait, I forgot, it was Charlotte, a beer and some fried okra! But seriously, the jamming at the tail of Foolish is amazing and has been a favorite of mine for a long time... check it out... 4 stars, because of the Foolish...
